The Position – (Senior) Refractory Engineer

We are looking for an expert in refractory technology (f/m/d) who is eager to create impact on mitigating climate change, who comes on board as a true partner and helps to shape our way forward. The role will be focused on driving our technology platform forward, focusing on the refractory concept of our melter technology.

Responsibilities

  • Research on critical topics (e.g., refractory concept and wear in the slag layer) and deriving relevant principles.
  • Optimizing the refractory design to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Playing a central part in building a demo-scale system and designing test procedures.

Qualifications

  • The ideal person is someone (f/m/d) with a technical background and with experience in refractory technologies (either in industry, academia or equipment provider).
  • Relevant areas include refractory technology in ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Leadership potential and the willingness to take ownership from day 0.

The position – (Senior) Mechanical Engineer – Breakthrough Heat Transfer Concept

We are looking for an expert in mechanical engineering and heat transfer (f/m/d) who is eager to create an impact on mitigating climate change, who comes on board as a true partner and helps to shape our way forward. The role will be focused on driving our technology platform forward, focusing on developing new ways to introduce energy into metallurgical processes.

Responsibilities

  • Inventing, conceptualizing, and researching completely new ways to transfer energy into pyro-metallurgical processes.
  • Leading this project, including expert interviews, building and testing prototypes and similar work streams to derisk the concepts as fast as possible.
  • Playing a central part in building a demo-scale system.

Qualifications

  • The ideal person is someone (f/m/d) with a technical background and experience in inventing, conceptualizing, and researching breakthrough technologies.
  • Relevant areas include mechanical engineering, heat transfer engineers, physics or similar.
  • Leadership potential and the willingness to take ownership from day 0.
